Project Description

Do You Need An American Disability Association Compliant Bathroom Rennovation?

Willis, Texas

A retired couple wanted to remodel their outdated bathroom. In order to update their bathroom they needed to get rid of the builder grade separate tub with tiny shower. The bathroom remodel included a walk-in tub and separate shower and make it A.D.A. compliant (American Disabilities Act) to ensure the renovation would remain functional should someone in their family need a handicap accessible bathroom in the future.

Sullivan Construction gutted the existing bathroom down to the studs and re-framed the entry door to make it 36” wide. (ADA compliant for a handicap bathroom). Also, they framed the tub area for the Jacuzzi Salon Whisper Plus walk-in tub and separate & larger walk-in shower. The bathroom model included an upgrade to the shower tile to match the stacked stone around the tub and vanity wall. They finished off the room with by installing a custom Robern Uplift medicine cabinet with a 48” mirror.
